This crescent-shaped beach is at the northern end of Lincoln Park, where Lake Shore Drive curves and ends, and joins Sheridan Road. Not heavily frequented for some years, the beach is seeing increased popularity. Access to the beach is limited to foot-traffic, because there's no parking and really no nearby parking. You can reach the beach on public transportation, by taking the #151 Sheridan Road bus from Downtown Chicago. Beach facilities include sand vollyball courts (a fee may be required), public restrooms and a concession stand. Lifeguards are on duty during the Memorial Day > Labor Day period annually.
