This place is a really great gem within probably one of Chicago 's best location.
China Doll II ( upper floor) is a charming and well furnished apartment. Due to a strong Euro it turned also to be a pretty great value. We could afford to stay a total of 11 days!
It is a very cosy and wonderful place to relax.
The whole appartment is nicely decorated and has as said before a terrific location. For example, Chicago's famous Blues clubs like the Kingston mines or Blues on Halsted are located nearly round the corner. Our stay at China doll II could not have been better!
We definitively will stay here again and we will recommend it to our friends

We opted to stay in a vacation rental instead of getting multiple hotel rooms so we could continue hanging out with everyone even after people started to go to bed versus retiring to our separate rooms. For the low price we were expecting basic accomodations but were extremely surprised to find a really great and welcoming place. The unit is very well maintained and furnished beautifully. The kitchen is updated and has anything you could ever need if you decide to cook in. But with the neighborhood the unit is situated in - its hard not to want to walk around and eat at any one of the amazing restaurants near by. The beds are comfortable as is the futon in the living room that can serve as an extra sleeping space. Breakfast food are provided complimentary which adds another amazing touch to the stay. Parking is really tough though so I highly suggest renting the garage space or spaces if you are bringing a car. The $10 a day is well worth it!! We come to Chicago every year and will try and book this vacation home for all of our future stays!!

What can I say about this place other than fantastic it has everything and I mean everything that a family would need we stayed here for a week recently (July 08) and I have say it is the best apt we have ever hired and for the price for 4 its hard to beat.
transport to downtown is excellent around 5-6 mins walking to the metro, plenty of bars and places to eat just around the block

All in All a very nice visit and if we come back to Chicago I would have no hesitation in re booking.

Everything at the China Doll was top notch! We enjoyed every minute we spent there. It was so homey & warm. The selection of breakfast items was terrific & plentiful.
Jim & Yanan were so helpful providing us with directions & suggestions that made our Chicago vacation one sure to remember.
We truly hated to leave & look forward to returning sometime in the future.
