My wife and I booked this place back in March when I bought tickets to a Cubs game. We weren't sure how we would like the place, but it truly turned out to be an excellent spot to stay!
We stayed for 3 weeknights Aug 4-7 and stayed in the small 'cozy room' which is certainly small, but serves its purpose as a place to crash after a day/night out in the city. We were upgraded to the biggest room on the 2nd floor the last night because of last minute bookings. The bigger room was nice, but more street noise in that one than in the smaller room. My advice here would be stay in one of the smaller rooms toward the back of the inn just because it is quieter there.
Virginia was the innkeeper and she was very friendly and accommodating. She made sure to give us a tour of the Inn and pointed out common areas where we could sit and read without being stuck in our room.
The second floor had two bathrooms for 4 rooms to share, but that was never a problem. The only issue we had was the thermostat is accessible to anyone and other guests turned the air conditioning temperature up to near 80 degrees, making our room nearly unbearably toasty.
The breakfast was small and really only consisted of fruit, muffins, cereal and juice, but was enough to get the day started.
The location is the bed and breakfast's best feature and it really is only about 4 blocks from Wrigley Field, there is a Walgreens a half block away for anything you may have forgotten at home, and there is a bar/grille (Trader Todd's) next door that you get 1 free meal each day if you want just ask the innkeeper for the vouchers. Also the Belmont stop on the El is about a block away to get on either the Red or Brown line.
