My daughter and I just had a lovely stay at this B&B. Virginia greeted us promptly, carried my bag up to my room. She was a wealth of information on the area, how to get around, things to see.Supplied us with maps and travel brochures, of the area.
In the mornings a modest breakfast was served buffet style.
The coffee was fresh & strong. There was no reason to leave for your day on an empty stomach.
We also received vouchers for Trader Todd's a bar & grill a few doors from the Inn. They served bar type food, a little more creative than some. The beer was cold, the cocktails were generous and the staff was very friendly.
The Inn was very clean and the bed was just great. We had to share a bathroom, but this never posed a problem. My daughter and I never waited to use one. It was pretty quiet for being in such a bustling area. We had a great stay and would recommend it to friends & family.
Virginia & Todd are very warm & friendly people, and seem well suited to their venture. Continued success,

Debra Pope & Staci Yocom

Awful B&B. Would NOT recommend. Owners do not get involved with guests. Stayed two days. Terrible nights sleep. Couldn't wait for the night be over. Shared bathroom. No breakfast or coffe either day. Would be a bad value at 1/2 the price. Avoid.

The "appeal" of the B&B is its connection with a caribbean bar located two doors down. Food at the bar is less than palatable. Drink prices are good on Monday happy hour. That is this places' saving grace. They do play Jimmy Buffett quite a bit.

I booked directly with the B&B. Mistake.

Management response from Virginia Carstarphen, Proprietor
(Management representative)
Feb 22, 2007
I was saddened by your review of our bed and breakfast. I truly wish that you had spoken to me during your visit so that I could have made an effort to better satisfy your needs. I do think it is important note that at the time of your stay all of our double pillow top mattresses and box springs were just three months old. Most of our guests find them quite comfortable. We serve a simple but high quality continental breakfast every day from 8am - 11am. Yes we have shared baths for some of our guest rooms, but also offer private baths as well. We enjoy hosting our guests but seek to interact with them at their discretion, I am unsure as to how you may have wished me to be involved with you but regret that I failed to satisfy you. I hope you will see this response and contact me personally so that I may offer my apologies. Sincerely, Virginia Carstarphen Hyatt
