I’ve stayed at this property off and on since 1993. I’ve seen this property grow from an almost raunchy hotel to an American standard hotel. My last stay at this hotel was in March 2001.
PLUSES…
1.) rooms are significantly cleaner than back in the 90's and 2001
2.) lobby is much nicer
3.) mattress is very good, entirely better than back in the days
CONCENRS…
i.) Polish speaking nationals. yes, they now have 99% Polish speaking personnel in the hotel which either do NOT speak ANY English or too little to make heads or tails of anything they attempt to say or even comprehend. This is NOT positive! The United States is an open door, however, we MUST insist that people who are employed in this country at some point MUST speak some English; even if they are predominantly in housekeeping. How do these people have their working papers for the country anyway? They probably don't ... sharing SS#!
ii.) toilet brush REQUIRED in the bathroom
iii.) no iron or ironing board in the room
iii.) no refrigerator in the room
Also, I didn't appreciate leaving U$100.00 smoke security. In addition, they quabble about 800 phone calls.
It is a good hotel for one night. It is what I would refer to as a quickie hotel.
U$85.00/night including the tax is too much! The best price is U$69.00 including tax.
