The Marriott outsources the valet parking to a company called InterPark. I gave a $5 tip both ways, and apparently it was not good enough. On returning my vehicle, my coin holder was depleted. I contacted the hotel management office and they are very polished in their response, but don't count on any help. The Marriott knows about the issue but they continue to use InterPark. Shame on them. There are other reviews with the same issue. So be advised that the Marriott will not take responsibility for valet theft or damage, and Interpark will not either because the valet stub says they are not responsible for damage or theft.

I stayed there 3 days for a conference. My company paid $209 a night. The hotel is clean, convienently located and the service from the staff is excellent. The rooms were okay, however the mattress was very soft. Other people I talked to at the conference mentioned the same thing.

Internet access was pricey, $14.95 per night in the room. Other people I was with had high speed internet cards on their pcs and they did not work in the large ballrooms.

One tip, if you are leaving to go to O'Hare in the afternoon, take the Red Line subway to the Blue Line subway. Its a lot faster and it only costs $2.25.

Would I stay here again, for business yes, for personal purposes, maybe, if the rate was a lot chaeaper.

I stayed here for a wedding I attended with my sister. We were from out of state and it was our first visit to Chicago. The bride picked this hotel for out of town guests and it was the location of the wedding reception. The rooms are small, but not ridiculously small like the other reviews mention. Our rooms also had hot water. The temperature in the room was comfortable and could not be adjusted like the other reviews also mention. It was no warmer than 40 degrees outside, while the room temperature was cool on (16th floor) the down comforter kept me toasty. I didnt eat at the restaurant, but the bar area is nice, roomy(great layout and decoration), and inviting. Great place to break while shopping. The staff was helpful, nothing extra, just helpful. Our room rate was o.k., but to say their is a shopping mall next door and a plethora of restaurants and other services (drug store) a couple of doors down, Maybe we did get a good rate. This is a MUST--have breakfast at Mary's cafe (around one corner, 2 blocks down). the facilities and food for the reception was great and the staff that attended to guests were wonderful. If you are thinking about this location for weddin or other event, it would be a great choice. Overall a great stay. I travel a lot, my opinion is worthy. Unlike Disney World vacationers.

I travel at least 10 times a yr for work and twice a year with family, so I put in a lot of time at hotels.

My room was freezing cold and the thermometer in the room didn't make a difference. I was told by engineering that the hotel had turned on AC and it would take a couple of hours for the heat to come back on. I ended up taking a long hot shower and getting in bed and using the blow dryer to warm me up. They promised to send up hot tea, but after 30 minutes and no delivery I had to call to ask. About 15 minutes later a pot of tea showed up, but it was highly caffeinated breakfast tea at 10:00 at night!!!

The same night, someone attempted to enter my room. Luckily I had both locks on. I think it was housekeeping. I don't know how they couldn't hear the TV which was turned up loud so that I could hear it over the blowdryer!!!

The second day, I called guest services to tell them that my TV wasn't working. After hitting 0 and waiting about 30 rings, I hung up. I tried again and had the same experience. I thought, what if it was a medical emergency and no one answered!!!!

The handle on my toilet had to be held in order for it to be flushed. It reminded me of my old house!

I called down for toothpaste 40 minutes ago. I'm still waiting.

Given all of the choices in a downtown area like this and with the tough economy, there have to be other hotels that provide better service.

We stayed at this hotel for family vacation and not treated well from the get-go. I had a $25.00 off that I got from Marriott rewards points and the lady at the front desk promptly and incorrectly told me I couldn't use it. I already checked this out with Marriott so I knew it could be used. No guest should have to argue with the desk clerk about how to do their job. After she gave me an attitude and dirty looks she finally asked someone else for help after fooling around the keyboard and just wasted time for me and my family. They, it got worse.

The room we got had no heat. It was not turned off, it was broken. It was 60 degrees and falling before they got someone to our room to fix it. Then the darkness continued.

Around eleven PM, someone knocked on our door very loudly. It woke us all up and when I asked who was there, then went to the door there wasn't anyone there. An hour later it happened again. This left me unable to sleep. So when it happened a third time I was ready. I was up and near the door and looked through the peephole to see a hotel maid opening the floor exit door and rushing through it. I called the front desk described the maid and they denied anyone that looked like what I described worked at the hotel. Right!

This hotel's staff was not only unable to do their jobs but they lied to me and my family. No one needs to pay for such poor and unprofessional treatment.
