Loved my stay here at the Knickerbocker hotel. Stayed (6/21-6/24) in the corner King suite room 327 (or 328 can't remember now but it's the corner suite on 3rd floor). Very comfortable room and nice quite stay. The bed was heaven. Loved the bed. Enjoyed the turn down service and would certainly come back. The martini bar down stairs is a must. The location is fantastic for shopping very close to John Hancock tower and the water tower shopping center also bloomingdales shopping, louis vuitton and channel and Oak Street shopping. The bath tub was wonderful. Deep tub, loved it. The over head rain shower and wand was wonderful as well. The only negative thing is the wi-fi of $9.95 per day is steep. I don't think that when you are staying here you should have to pay for the wi-fi.

My 16 year old daughter and I were on a 2 day layover, from traveling to The University of Notre Dame, and I searched the internet, looking for locations near "The Drake" Hotel. The Millennium Knickerbocker is a "gem" in the precious city of Chicago. The rooms are clean, modern, good lighting, great and comfortable bed, very contemporary bathroom, flat screen TV, coffee/tea in room, and very pleasant and courteous staff. I received an anticipatory email before our arrival and the concierge had everything ready for me when I arrived that I had requested. The emails were returned in 24 hours with each correspondence. I also was treated like royalty when I was checking out and needed to take a cab to O'Hare, and asked the bell men to get me a responsible and mature cab driver that would not be a maniac driving us to the airport and they did this expeditiously to the point that I was happy to tip each of the men involved. Restaurants are close by as are shopping and jogging along the Lake. It is 1 block from The John Hancock Building and across from The Drake and Spiaggia, my favorite restaurant in Chicago. We are going back in 2 weeks for the 4th of July and I am so happy to have found The Millennium Knickerbocker.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Knickerbocker Hotel in Chicago. We wanted to stay in a hotel near or in the downtown area so we could visit Michigan Avenue and the Business Loop. The Knickerbocker met both of those needs. We were within walking distance to most shopping areas and fine restaurants and public transportation was just around the corner, too.

We also wanted a place we could relax and be comfortable after spending 10+ hours walking about Chicago. The room was spacious, very comfotable, always clean and the hotel staff made it very easy on us anytime we needed anything. The hotel staff always met us with a pleasant good morning or good evening and a big smile. It makes a difference in comfort level when you are surrounded by a staff that wants you to feel comfortable away from home.

The bed was awesome! Very soft yet firm, very comfortable, nice to have a good bed to sleep in after a long day of fun.

The hotel bar was nice and friendly, good place to meet other travelers from all parts of the globe.

This hotel was very nice and we will stay here again should we venture to Chicago again...hopefully soon!

We had a wonderful time and my teenagers really enjoyed the experience of an "older" hotel. The boys found a food pantry around the corner, thanks to the help of the bellman, and we were able to have reasonable "snacks". The hotel's location is great - close to the John Hancock and Michigan Ave. Take the Chicago Trolley Tour - a great way to see the city.

This is a fantastic place to stay if you're in downtown Chicago. It's just off of north Michigan Ave. where there is PLENTY of shopping to be had, within 5-7 minute EL stop at State St. and Chicago Ave., a couple of blocks from Lake Michigan and Lake Shore Drive.... it is just a great location.
The hotel staff could not be nicer, more friendly or helpful. From the doorman, to the front desk attendants, to the Concierge, to the bellman, just the best. The room we had was on the 9th floor and one could see the beach of Lake Michigan between the buildings with the Drake hotel across the street. The bed was extremely comfortable, loved the shower that felt like a waterfall with the fixture in the middle of the ceiling.
The only thing I would not recommend is to pay $50 for overnight parking. There are other less expensive options and directly across the street at the Drake hotel is parking for $35 overnight. Other than that, you will be well pleased by staying at the Knickerbocker hotel.

Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We are very happy that you enjoyed your stay at the Knickerbocker and we look forward to welcoming you back.

Thank you for your tip on parking in one of the self-park garages - we understand that the price for parking in Chicago seems quite steep. Like most hotels we rely on an outside valet parking company so unfortunately we have no influence on the pricing. But the self park garages in our neighborhood are a great alternative.

We just alert our guests that unlike valet parking you don't get unlimited in and out privileges, so if you need to take your car out more than once a day it might end up being more expensive. Another great deal is our Park and Play package that includes Valet Parking and is just $20 more than our best available rate, plus you get two CTA public transport passes as well. Thank you again for your time and for your business, we appreciate it!
