I was very impressed at first with the room: all the fixtures and furniture looked new and stylish, and the tv was one of those new flat screen LCD wide screen types. My only complaints would be that the fridge is pretty loud when you're trying to go to sleep at night and that the shower, although new, doesn't have a tub so you can't take any baths. The breakfast and hospitality hours are pretty typical for a Residence Inn, which is to say that it's pretty decent for being complimentary. The location is excellent for shopping on the the Magnificent Mile and Watertower Place, going to the top of the Hancock Tower, jogging along Lakeshore Drive, and the "beach". All in all, the best Residence Inn I've ever stayed at, and I wouldn't mind staying here again if the Courtyard is too full or overpriced or if the James Hotel doesn't have one of its awesome Travelzoo deals.
