My husband and I booked a room at Hotel Indigo for a quick stopover in Chicago. What a fantastic hotel! The location is great - it's close to the Red Line (5 minute walk) so it's very possible to take the El from either airport. If you're looking to explore the area around the hotel, walking in one direction from the hotel entrance puts you in the middle of the city - walk the other direction and you are in a great neighborhood (think: diverse architecture, people walking dogs, the whole bit...). The lobby was nice - a lot of people were having cocktails in the bar area. The rooms are pretty small, but well decorated and bright (makes it feel a bit larger). We didn't eat at the hotel (except coffee in the AM), but had a great breakfast at the 3rd Coast Cafe and Wine Bar, a 30 second walk from the hotel (try the stuffed french toast). We will definitely stay at the Indigo the next time we are in town.
