We stayed at the Silversmith Hotel and Suites this weekend for three nights. My daughter was married nearby and we arranged with the hotel for special pricing and to save rooms. Many of us stayed there over the weekend and we also had a private brunch in one of the meeting rooms. I can't say enought about the wonderful way we were treated, the beautiful setting, and the great room. They were willing to put the families on the same floor so that we could be together, pass out gift bags to our guests and helped us with the details and emergencies that came up. The brunch was wonderful and the servers not only did a good job during the meal but also helped us find boxes to pack up our decorations afterword. I just can't say enough good things about the Silversmith!!!

A very nice hotel with a wonderfully convenient location. My only real complaint would be that the hallway doors are very loud so that you hear all your neighbors comings and goings. Could get annoying with the wrong neighbors! At the moment access to the front door is awkward due to sidewalk construction but it was not a real problem. Valet parking needs 20-30 minutes advance notice to get you your car. Several alternative parking areas within two blocks.

Currently staying here for two nights with family. This is a beautiful restored landmark. Hallways are beautifully decorated and clean. Our room was immaculate, well-decorated, very pleasant. The main thing to be aware of is that this is a typical urban center hotel, which means the rooms are small. It's a tight fit for two adults and two teenagers, but the location and pleasantness of the hotel make up for that.

If you are driving to the hotel, be aware that there is no parking adjacent to the hotel. A valet service is available at the entrance, but you may have to call the desk or send someone inside to let them know you are outside. Currently, there's some construction on the street in front of the hotel, which makes this a bit more difficult.

Overall, a wonderful place to stay. A great value in the heart of the city. It's only a short walk to the Art Institute or Millennium Park.

WOW!! This great hotel is the best kept secret we have found in Chicago. This is a charming place with beautiful rooms. The suite we had was great with plenty of room. A huge bathroom and beautiful bedroom were an added bonus. We surely were not expecting such a surprise. It is close to the L on Wabash but if you ask for a room toward the back you will have no problem with any noise. The rooms were large, clean and the staff were extremely friendly. The price is much more reasonable than any place we have found in Chicago. We definately will be going back when we visit Chicago again. Another convenience is the fact that it is located in the theater district so many theaters are within walking distance. Great place to stay!!
